What percentage of the vote is required for the school transportation bond to be approved?
To pass the school transportation bond, a minimum of 60% of the vote must be "YES."
What is the total amount of the proposed bond?
The proposed bond for Sharon-Mutual Public Schools is $3,800,000 and would be paid over a period of five (5) years.
When would collections for the new bond begin?
If approved, the new bond would begin collections after the current Transportation Bond is fully paid off. This means there would be no overlap or increase in the tax rate currently being collected.
