Building for Our Students.

Strengthening Our Community

Sharon-Mutual Public Schools is committed to preserving and improving the facilities that serve as the foundation of our district and community — through a bond initiative inspired and supported by parents and community members who care deeply about our schools’ future.

This proposal reflects a shared vision to invest in safe, functional, and lasting buildings that protect past investments, support daily activities, and provide welcoming spaces for students, families, and community events — all while maintaining fiscal responsibility and a no-tax-increase commitment.

VOTE YES November 18th

On Tuesday, November 18, Sharon-Mutual voters will decide on a $3.8 million bond proposal designed to improve facilities that serve both our students and community — all while maintaining the same tax rate residents currently pay.

This bond represents a shared vision developed by parents, teachers, and community members who came together to identify practical, high-priority improvements that protect past investments and prepare for the future.

Project Priorities

Covered Parking for School Buses

The community’s support of the last bond allowed the district to replace the entire bus fleet.
This proposal ensures those buses are protected through covered parking at both Sharon and Mutual campuses, extending vehicle life, reducing maintenance, and protecting the district’s investment.

Mutual Gym Renovations

The Mutual Gym is a cornerstone of community life — home to basketball, volleyball, graduations, banquets, and assemblies.
Renovations will include:

  • ADA-compliant restroom upgrades and additional stalls

  • Roof replacement to stop ongoing leaks

  • Improved seating with ADA accessibility

These updates maintain the character of the facility while ensuring safety and comfort for everyone who uses it.

ADA Restroom & Concession Facility at the Football Field

Game nights bring our community together. This project will build a new ADA-accessible restroom and concession facility that:

  • Meets occupancy code requirements

  • Adds accessibility for all fans

  • Enhances the experience for families and visitors

Sharon Gym & Campus Renovations

The Sharon Gym and surrounding campus are full of history and pride.
This bond will fund:

  • Roof and exterior siding replacement

  • New ceiling tiles and interior repairs

  • Other maintenance items to extend the life of the facility

These improvements preserve tradition while modernizing spaces for everyday learning and community use.

Why This Bond Matters

  • ✅ No Tax Increase: Continues at the same rate after the current Transportation Bond ends.

  • 🧒 For Students: Provides safer, more functional learning and activity spaces.

  • 🏘 For the Community: Improves facilities that host events for everyone — from graduations to banquets.

  • 💰 For the Future: Proactively maintains infrastructure to avoid higher costs later.

  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent-Driven: Developed from the input and priorities of parents and community members.
